緑内障薬の副作用

緑内障という診断がつくと、多くの場合は「点眼薬」での治療が開始されることが多いです。

しかし、明らかな緑内障の悪化がなければ出来るだけ緑内障の薬は使わない方が良いのです。

というのも、多くの緑内障の薬は全身への影響も含めて副作用が強いためです。

そのため小栗は可能な限りは緑内障患者さんへの「緑内障点眼薬」を使用しない、あるいは最小限に抑えるように注意しております。

実際、薬を 使わなくても緑内障が悪化しない方、進行が停止している方も外来で多く見かけます。

このような場合は、一度、薬を中止することも行います。

緑内障点眼薬の問題点は、

多くの場合で「頭痛」や「頭重感」、「首や肩の凝り」

を生じているにもかかわらず、

それが副作用であると気付かれていないことです。

ドライアイの悪化を生じている方も多い印象です。

緑内障点眼薬を中止すると、上記のような症状が驚くほど軽快して、「身体が楽になった」と喜ばれることを経験します。
