方便品第二（その１０）
そして偈（詩句）を説いて言った
And expounded in verse, saying
知恵の太陽たる大聖尊
The great sage, the sun of wisdom
長い間説かなかったこの教えを今説いた
Finally expounds this Dharma
自らこのように得たと説く
Explains how he attained such
力と無畏（何事にも畏れないこと）と三昧（心の統一境地）
Power, fearlessness, and concentration
禅定（心を静める境地）、解脱（解き放たれる）など
Meditation, liberation, etc.
思議を超えた仏法
The inconceivable Dharma
道場で得た仏法
The Dharma attained at the place of enlightenment
問いを発することができる者はいない
No one can raise a question
私の意図は測り難い
My intent is difficult to fathom
また、問うことができる者はいない
Nor is there anyone who can ask
問いなくして自ら説く
Without being asked, he expounds
その行いの道を称えて感嘆する
Praising and admiring the practiced path
知恵が非常に微妙である
The wisdom is extremely profound and subtle
諸仏が得たもの
What all Buddhas have attained
煩悩の無い諸々の羅漢
The undefiled Arhats
また涅槃を求める者
And those seeking Nirvana
今、みな疑いの網に落ちている
Now, all have fallen into a net of doubt
仏はなぜこれを説いたのか
Why does the Buddha expound this?
縁覚を求める者
Those seeking Pratyekabuddhahood
比丘と比丘尼
Monks and nuns
諸天、龍、鬼、神々
Devas, dragons, ghosts, and spirits
乾闥婆など
And Gandharvas, etc.
お互いに見つめ、ためらいを抱く
They look at each other, harboring hesitation
両足尊（仏）を仰ぎ見る
Gaze up at the Two-Footed Honored One
この事は何のためか
What is the meaning of this matter?
仏に説明を願う
Pray that the Buddha explains
声聞たちの集まりにおいて
Among the assembly of Śrāvakas
仏は私を第一と説いた
The Buddha said I am the foremost
私は今、自ら知恵において
Now I, in my wisdom,
疑い惑って理解できない
Cannot resolve doubts or confusion
これは究極の仏法のためか
Is this for the ultimate Dharma?
これは行いの道のためか
Or is this for the practiced path?
仏の口から生まれた子
The children born from the Buddha's mouth
合掌して仏を仰ぎ見て待つ
Folding hands, gazing up in expectation
微妙な音を出すことを願う
Pray for the subtle and wonderful sound
今こそ真実を説くべきである
Now is the time to speak the truth
天、龍、神々など
Devas, dragons, gods, and others
その数は恒河（ガンジス川）の砂のように多い
Their numbers are like the sands of the Ganges
仏を求める多くの菩薩
The many Bodhisattvas seeking the Buddha
その数は八万に及ぶ
Their great number reaches eighty thousand
さらに多くの万億の国
And countless tens of thousands of countries
轉輪聖王（転輪聖王）が至る
The Wheel-Turning Sage King arrives
合掌して敬う心をもって
Folding hands with a heart of respect
身に具わる完全な仏道を聞きたいと願う
Desiring to hear the complete path
And expounded in verse, saying
知恵の太陽たる大聖尊
The great sage, the sun of wisdom
長い間説かなかったこの教えを今説いた
Finally expounds this Dharma
自らこのように得たと説く
Explains how he attained such
力と無畏（何事にも畏れないこと）と三昧（心の統一境地）
