方便品第二（その３０）
その時、諸々の梵天王
At that time, the various Brahma Kings
および諸々の天帝釈
And the various Indra deities
世界を守護する四天王
The Four Heavenly Kings who protect the world
および大自在天
And the Great Brahma God
ならびに余の諸々の天衆（神々、天上界の衆生）
Along with other celestial beings
百千萬の眷属（家族・従者）
Hundreds of thousands of followers
恭しく合掌して礼拝する
Respectfully joining hands in reverence
私に法輪を回すよう願う
Requesting me to turn the Dharma Wheel
私はすぐに自ら熟考した
I immediately reflected upon it
もしただ仏乗を讃えたならば
If only the Buddha Vehicle is praised
衆生が苦しみに沈んでいる
Sentient beings are submerged in suffering
この法を信じることができない
Unable to believe this Dharma
法を破り、信じないがゆえに
Because they break the Dharma and do not believe
三悪道に落ちる
Falling into the three evil paths
私はいっそ法を説かない
I would rather not preach the Dharma
すみやかに涅槃に入る
Quickly entering Nirvana
過去の仏を思い出す
Recalling the past Buddhas
行う方便（便宜ある巧みな手段）の力
The power of skillful means in action
私が今得た道
The path I have now attained
また三乗を説くべきである
Should also preach the three vehicles
このように思惟するとき
When contemplating this
十方の仏が皆現れる
The Buddhas of the ten directions all appear
清らかな音声で私を慰め喩える
The pure sound consoles and instructs me
素晴らしい、釈迦族の聖者よ
Excellent, Shakyamuni
第一の導師
The foremost teacher
この無上の法を得て
Attaining this supreme Dharma
諸々の一切の仏に随う
Following all the Buddhas
そして方便の力を用いる
And employ the power of skillful means
私たちもまた皆得た
We all have also attained this
最も微妙な第一の法
The most profound and supreme Dharma
諸々の衆生種類のために
For the various kinds of beings
三乗を分別して説く
Preaching the three vehicles separately
小さな智慧を持ち、小法を楽しむ
Having little wisdom, enjoying minor teachings
自らが仏になれると信じない
Not believing in becoming a Buddha
これゆえに方便をもって
Therefore, using expedients
諸々の果（結果）を分別して説く
Preaching various results separately
たとえまた三乗を説いたとしても
Even though the three vehicles are preached
ただ菩薩を教えるために
Only for teaching Bodhisattvas
At that time, the various Brahma Kings
および諸々の天帝釈
And the various Indra deities
世界を守護する四天王
The Four Heavenly Kings who protect the world
および大自在天
And the Great Brahma God
ならびに余の諸々の天衆（神々、天上界の衆生）
