方便品第二（その２５）
このように諸々の世尊（仏）も、
Such World-Honored Ones
種々の縁や譬喩（たとえ）を
Various causes and parables
数え切れない方便の力
Innumerable skillful means
諸法の相を説き明かした
Explain the characteristics of all dharmas
これらの諸々の世尊（仏）も、
These World-Honored Ones
皆、一乗の法を説き
All preach the One Vehicle
無量の衆生を教化して
Transform innumerable beings
仏道に入らしめた
Lead them into the Buddha’s path
また、諸々の大聖主
Moreover, all great sages
知る一切の世間
Know all the worlds
天人や人間、群れの生きとし生ける部類
The beings of gods and humans
深い心の欲するところ
The objects of deep desires
さらに異なる方便を用いて
Use even more skillful means
第一義（究極の真理）を顕すのを助けてきた
Help reveal the ultimate truth
もし衆生の部類がいるなら
If there are sentient beings
諸々の過去の仏に出会って
Encounter the Buddhas of the past
若しくは法を聞き布施をして
If they hear of Dharma giving
あるいは持戒や忍辱を実践して
Or practice precepts and patience
精進や禅、智慧など
Diligence, meditation, wisdom, etc.
種々の福徳を修めた
Cultivate various merits and wisdom
このような諸々の人などは
Such people as these
皆すでに仏道を成し遂げた
All have already attained the Buddha’s path
諸仏がすでに滅度（滅び渡る）した後
After all Buddhas have entered nirvana
もし善良で柔軟な心を持つ人がいれば
If a person has a good and soft heart
このような諸々の衆生
All living beings like these
皆すでに仏道を成し遂げた
All have already attained the Buddha’s path
諸仏がすでに滅度した後
After various Buddhas have entered nirvana
舍利（遺骨）を供養する人
Those who offer relics
万億の種類の塔を建てる
Build myriad towers
金や銀、および頗梨（クリスタルの一種）
Gold, silver, and crystal
硨磲（シャコ貝）と瑪瑙（メノウ石）
Tridacna shell and agate
玫瑰（バラのような宝石）や琉璃（ラピスラズリ）の珠（玉）
Rose gemstones and lapis lazuli beads
清浄で広く荘厳に飾る
Adorned with pure and grand decoration
諸々の塔を荘厳に飾る
Decorate various stupas
あるいは石の廟（祠堂、墓）を建てる
Some build stone shrines
栴檀（白檀）や沈香（香木）
Sandalwood and agarwood
木材や余りの材を用いる
Use wood, planks, and other materials
煉瓦、瓦、泥土など
Bricks, tiles, mud, and earth
もし広野の中において
If in a vast wilderness
土を積んで仏廟を作る
Pile up earth to build a Buddha shrine
至りて童子が遊ぶまで
Even when children play
砂を集めて仏塔を作る
Gather sand to build a stupa
このような諸々の人々
Such various people
皆すでに仏道を成し遂げた
All have already attained the Buddha’s path
Such World-Honored Ones
