ラエルはスノーデンを「ラエリアン・ムーブメントの名誉ガイド」であると
公表し栄誉を授けます。

ラエリアン・ムーブメントの精神的指導者ラエルは、元国家安全保障局の
職員であるエドワード・スノーデンに「人類の名誉ガイド」という称号を授け
ました。その授与にあたりラエルは「世界的なアメリカの監視プログラムの
詳細を暴露したことにより、スノーデンは人類のために大きな貢献をした」
と述べました。
「スノーデンは真の英雄です。人々が超管理主義的政府という害悪によっ
て支配されることのない、平和で自由な未来を手にするために、世界には
彼のような人が大勢必要です」と、ラエルは以前発表された声明の中で言
いました。「そのような政府は、偽りの『安全』の名の下に、人々のプライバ
シーを侵害し、ロボットのように重労働させて物を作らせ、人々を管理しよ
うとしています。現代の技術をもってすればそのような労働はもはや必要あ
りません。政府はただ、既に世界の富の８０％を所有しているほんの少数
の資本家をより裕福にしているだけです」
ラエルは、こ の流れに逆らう人たちを高く評価しています。
「高い給料を失うことや刑務所に入れられる危険性を顧みず、自由やプラ
イバシーという、より高い価値観の下に行動する人たちがいるのを見ると、
とても勇気付けられます」とラエルはスノーデンの例を挙げて言いました。
ラエルはまた、この件に関するオバマ大統領のコメントについて言及しま
した。
ラエルはまた、１００％の安 全と１００％のプライバシーと０％の不便さのす
べてを満たすことはできない、というオバマ大統領の声明についてコメント
しました。「オバマは全く正しいです。だからこそ、プライバシーも自由もな

を打破するならば、私たちの脳はより強くなります。またそれは、世界全体
にも当てはまります。世界中のすべての国の軍隊を解体するというリスク
を冒せば、世界はもっと平和になるでしょう」

Rael honors Snowden, pronouncing him “Honorary Guide of the
Raelian Movement”
LAS VEGAS, July 21 - Rael, spiritual leader of the Raelian
Movement, has awarded the title “Honorary Guide for Humanity”
to former National Security Agency employee Edward Snowden. In
making the award, Rael referred to “the major service Snowden
performed for humanity by leaking details about worldwide U.S.
surveillance programs.”
“Snowden is a real hero, and the world needs thousands more like
him to have a peaceful and free future in which the people can be
protected from the cancer of almighty Orwellian governments,”
Rael said in a previous statement. “Such governments invade
everybody’s privacy in the name of a false ‘security,’ and they
try to control everyone as though they are robots that produce
goods through hard work, which given modern technology, isn’t
necessary anymore. [These governments] just make a very tiny
group of capitalists richer when that tiny group already owns 80
percent of the world.”
Rael had high praise for those who counter this trend.
“It's so encouraging to see that some human beings are ready to
lose huge salaries and risk prison in the name of higher values like
freedom and privacy," he added, referring to Snowden’s example.
Rael also commented on President Obama’s statement that one
cannot have 100 percent security and at the same time have 100
percent privacy and zero inconvenience.
“Obama is absolutely right, and that’s precisely why insecurity is
better than having an Orwellian society with no privacy and no
freedom,” he said. “The world is sick of too much security. Risk is
healthy, both mentally and physically."
Rael added, “As a philosopher once said, the greatest risk is not to
risk at all. This principle applies to our health, for our immune
systems are stronger if we take the risk of being in contact with
dangerous germs and stop sterilizing everything. It also applies to
our mental health, because our brains become stronger if we take
risks, live adventurous lives and eliminate any phobias. And it also
applies to the world, because it will become more peaceful if we
take the risk of destroying all national armies.”
