My wife & I visited Sri Lanka about 10 years ago.
Our main purpose was Sri Lankan teas and Ayurveda experiences.
After visiting Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, both famous for tea, we stayed at the Ayurveda resort near Matale for five days.
The head chef at the resort was really excellent.
He prepared many kinds of Sri Lankan curries, dishes and desserts we had never tasted before.
They were all delicious, exotic and healthy, not too spicy and not too oily.
Most of the ingredients, such as vegetables, fruits, and spices, came from the garden in the resort and they were all organic.
The chef was so kind that he introduced us to the garden and explained the products there.
During this stay, everything was so delicious that we ate too much every day,
but we were very healthy because all meals were based on natural and well-balanced Ayurvedic method.
This is the story of my best curry.
There are some good Sri Lankan restaurants in Tokyo,
but the curries I had at an Ayurveda resort in Sri Lanka are still the best.
