Although Benedict was noted for some things that had the external appearance of conservatism and orthodoxy (e.g.. traditional vestments, allowing the traditional rite of the Mass, favoring some dignity and reverence in the liturgy), this man was no conservative. His theology was truly radical and clearly Modernist.
