2003年、Gaza 地区でイスラエル軍が行ってた家屋取り壊しに抗議してる途中にブルドーザーに轢かれて亡くなったレイチェル・コリー（Rachel Aliene CORRIE：2003）さん。
その CORRIE さんに関して、イスラエル軍兵士が "Afternoon of “rachel corrie” Pancakes and fun!" と題してパンケーキを食べてる画像を facebook 上で公開していた。

そもそも、一部の人達は CORRIE さんのことを「聖パンケーキ（St. Pancakes）」と呼んでコケにしてるんだよな。
理由としては、"flat as a pancake（平べったい、潰されてる）" という言い回しが・・・。

つまり、問題の画像を公開した兵士達が CORRIE さんの名前を持ち出して "pancakes" なんて言うのは、非常に問題のある表現ってこと。
しかし、当の兵士達にはそういう問題意識はなかった模様。
