そんな中、何やら妙な発言をする人達がチラホラ・・・。

さらにバニスター氏は、さまざまな宗教を混同しているかのような発言を行った。
同氏は「ユダヤ人はハラムに従ってはいない。彼らにはイエス・キリストの教えに従う彼ら自身の宗教がある」と述べた。
しかしユダヤ教は、キリストの誕生前から存在する旧約聖書に基づいている。
バニスター氏の間違いは、宗教だけにとどまらない。
同氏は、２０１６年に施行予定の身体障害者向けの保険制度について「現在、すでに施行されている」と発言したという。
バニスター氏のインタビューが放送されたか否かは定かではないが、あっと言う間に広まった。

実際、BANISTER 氏は、"I don't oppose Islam as a country, but I do feel that their laws should not be welcome here in Australia," って発言してる模様。
複数形と単数形の使い分けは、普段から英語を使ってる人でも間違いやすいとはいえ、国会議員を目指す人がそういう間違いをするのは流石に不味いと思ふ。
単数形と複数形を間違うと、発言の意味が大きく変わるわけでさ・・・。
それと、BANISTER 氏はユダヤ教に関する最低限の知識すらないことも露呈したわけで。
まさか、ユダヤ教の経典は新約聖書とでも本気で思ってるんか？
