I got XSA815-TG as demo,and almost I finish evaluating it.

The performance is mostly what I expected,and also I am satisfied with total capability.

I'd like to introduce XSA815-TG to the all over the world for the first time ever.

First of all,look at that youtube video.It is not FFT mode,but Swept-Tuned Mode!!

Waveform refresh rate is like HackRF ONE(which is working with FFT mode,and Bin width is probably some extent broad,instead XSA815-TG is working with swept-tuned mode,because RBW is 100kHz at this measurement)

Talking about the specification is like below.There are 6 models releasing.XSA805 and XSA805-TG are 500MHz models,XSA810 and XSA810-TG  are 1GHz models,and XSA815 and XSA815-TG are 1.5GHz models.

I think,someone might think,what is the difference,compared to XSA1000TG Series.LOL

As you know,XSA1000TG Series are 3 models ,XSA1015-TG,XSA1032-TG,and XSA1036-TG.

(1)LCD Display Size

XSA815-TG 9inch/XSA1015-TG 10.2inch.(Size itself XSA1015-TG is bigger than XSA815-TG)

(3)XSA815-TG works wth 2 mode,Swept-Tuned Mode and FFT mode.(Now the information is limited,only available "Quick Guide",so I don't know the details yet,but according to this guide,"When RBW is set to less than 3kHz,automatically switch to FFT mode)Just I know,when I try to use max hold mode,less than RBW 3kHz,plotting is so precise.Plz wait for the additional information.I don't recognize  downsides  at the moment.

(4)Tracking Generator's specification is not same as one of XSA1015-TG.Once first time,when we try to do normalization,the initial setting RBW/VBW is set to 30kHz,but after that,you can change RBW/VBW up to 3kHz,then you can do normalization again.It seems works fine.

(5)XSA815-TG has the quasi-peak detector and EMI filter's RBW set-up,as same as XSA1015-TG.(As you know,Siglent and RIGOL Spectrum Analyzer,it is the option as EMI)

(6)XSA815-TG has also so-called Advanced Measurement Kit(AMK) like ACPR,Channel Power,OBW etc,as same as XSA1015-TG.(As you know,Siglent and RIGOL Spectrum Analyzer,it is the option as AMK)

(7)XSA815-TG can do measure the noise power(dBm/Hz),as same as XSA1015-TG.

XSA815-TG can do screen capture into the internal storage or USB Flash memory.

XDG3252(250MHz model) with the external reference (GPS Desciplined)/Sine Wave 10.000000000MHz(up to 1x10E9 set-up available)

When you hope to save all screen picture,including right column,at first insert USB Flash Memory,then plz push "Quick Save" like below.(Otherwise,also you can save from "Save/Recall" like other screen pictures.

Push on "Peak",then you get the actual measuring frequency,just 7.100000MHz (w/Extesrnal reference 10MHz,frequency offset 0Hz at span 1kHz)

Reference Extenal(if working for long time,no need frequency offsets)

Reference Internal(if working for long time,no need frequency offsets)

I confirmed PC Software is already available.

You can easily measure the higher harmonics of Anritsu SSG MG3601A.Such a case,using the Marker Table is convenient.

You can do measure so-called noise power(dBm/Hz),and you can predict the phase noise//10kHz offset is <-80dBc/Hz sure.

Now I get prepared for measuring Home-Made 7MHz BPF(center frequency 7.1MHz/BW 100kHz,-3dB or 138kHz -6dB/insertion loss around -5.5dB) with the Tracking Generator!!

Actually it is for my homebrew software defined radiot(SDR) transceiver and home-made FPGA-Based  SDR.and also softrock group SDRs.

3dB Bandwidth,we can use the marker function as NdB 3.0     3dB BW is measured as 99.5kHz

You can also measure 6dB BW with the markers setting,using delta.   6dB BW is measured as 138kHz

For the case that If you don't purchase TG model like XSA805/XSA810/XSA815

You can also measure BPF without TG precisely.

Above youtube video,the typical traditional way of measuring the band pass filter(BPF),if you don't have the tracking generator.

You know,this 7MHz BPF is for the software defined radio/direct conversion type like softrock group etc.If you hope to add the pre-amplifier 20dB,you also have to equip 7MHz BPF,-3dB bandwidth 100kHz to the front end.

7MHz BPF/6dB bandwidth 138kHz(3dB BW is around 100kHz)

Even if you purchase like XSA805,cheapest model.you can somehow measure BPF,the measurement result is almost same as the result with the tracking generator.

One of the upsides of XSA815-TG,which has so-called the advance measurement kit(AMK),it means it is not option like RIGOL and Siglent spectrum analyzer.

Time Spec//OWON calls it as Time Spec(in other words,waterfall,panafall something like that)
