シー・シェパードの暴力

シー・シェパードの親玉ポール・ワトソンがドイツで逮捕されたというニュースが2,3日前の産経に載っていましたが、これは今年の5月3日にフジテレビのニュースJAPANが伝えた彼らの悪行です。こんなことを放置しておいたら今に死人が出ます。

過激な抗議活動を行う反捕鯨団体シーシェパード。
今年2月南極海を航行中に調査捕鯨船第三勇新丸が妨害行為を受けた。
航行する船の前を横切りながら何度もロープを水中に投下、船の心臓部であるスクリューに絡ませて航行を妨害することが狙いだという。

海を漂流しているロープが、彼らが守ろうとしているクジラに絡まるという事態も起こっている。




そんな中、脅迫状を受け取った太地町の漁師
「殺す、とか書かれていました。写真を鋭利な刃物で傷つけて首の所が切ってあった」

近年イルカ漁の妨害を受けている和歌山県太地町では、漁業関係者の個人情報がシーシェパードのHPに載せられ、脅迫状が送りつけられるなど、シーシェパードの過激さは増すばかりだ。」

Violence by Sea Shepherd

I think the violent activities that Sea Shepherd has done against whalers should be accused more strictly from all over the world. Their violence is only getting worse. If things keep up, they might actually kill the other side people in the future. Both Sea Shepherd and their supporters should open their eyes and become aware of how irrational their behaviors are, if they are not savages.

The Daisan Yushin Maru, a Japanese research whaling ship, in dock for repairing

On February 2012, the Daisan Yushin Maru, a Japanese research whale vessel, was sailing across the Antarctic Ocean and encountered obstructive maneuvers by Sea Shepherd which is the famous anti-whaling active group.
This scene shows that Sea Shepherd crew were attempting to direct a rope underneath the Daisan Yushin Maru repeatedly while closely crossing the front of vessel. Obviously their aim is to entangle the ship's rudder (propeller), which is the heart of vessel, to make the ship nonoperational.

Yoshimura Isamu, One of the investigators on the research whaling ship, says " In the worst case, Sea Shepherd could have upset our ship. I think they are actually nothing other than terrorists."

Ironically the whale they tried to protect frantically were entangled in the rope floating on the sea.

Meanwhile, in Taichi, Wakayama Prefecture, where Sea Shepherd have waged an anti-whaling campaign against the local people, some fishermen have received threatening letters from Sea Shepherd's supporters who would see the fishermen's private information posted on the group's web site. A fisherman says " They say 'We will kill you' in the letter, with a picture of me in which they cut my neck with a knife " Sea Shepherd seems to be becoming more and more radical.
