	第十五歌 黄金こがねを孜々ししと積みてしも、 湯水ゆみずの如く散ぜしも、 ともに空しき土どと化なれば 誰か掘らんとねがふべき。
15 And those who husbanded the Golden Grain, And those who flung in to the Winds like Rain, Alike to no such aureate Earth are turn'd As, buried once, Men want dug up again.
	第十六歌 昼と夜とを戸となせる この荒屋あばらやを宿として さだめの時を仮寝しつ 世々の王者ぞ旅立ちし。
16 Think, in this batter'd Caravanserai Whose Doorways are alternate Night and Day, How Sultán after Sultán with his Pomp Abode his Hour or two and went his way.
