Stay Hungry, Stay Positive

アメリカ生活の２年目に入りました、って久しぶりに自覚した。
もう今の環境に慣れすぎてしまって、新しくてワクワクするものがなかなか見つからない。
残念ながら語学のまだまだ時間がかかりそうだけど、大体あと２年ぐらいは。
みんなは環境に慣れてしまったときはどうしますか？

僕はずっと何か面白いことを考えます。
何かやりたいことないかなって、もちろん勉強はしっかりやった後での話。
常に何か面白くないと感じる自分のレンズを取り替えてみる、
そうするとまだまだこの大学院生活でやってみたいことが思いつく。
そして僕はぜひ大学院でやっておきたい１０のリストをつくった。
どれも漠然としているのでエクセルでできるだけ、具体的なタスクになるように分け、
それを達成するまでの期間も表にいれたら一気に現実味を増してきた。
やっぱりこれだからハングリー精神は重要なんだね。

あと以前応募していた、（ブログで紹介したか覚えてないけど）TEDxCity2.0のイベントに
見事落選していた。TEDxCity2.0はかなりユニークなプロジェクトなので、特に都市計画を
選考している人はGoogleで調べてみて。
そのメールの文章はこんな感じだった。

Hi Yasu,

Thank you for your application to host a TEDx event. After speaking with Jami and yourself,
　we feel that this event would not be the right fit for the platform and that before you set about
hosting an event you should get some practical organizing experience on another team.

I encourage you to attend other TEDx events in your area and to collaborate with them
　in order to get an understanding of what the TEDx platform is about and the work involved in setting up a successful event.
I believe you have already met with Jami (TEDxCincinnati, copied)
　and would encourage you to reach out to her about opportunities to participate in her or other local events.

まあ、そういうこともあるし、塞翁が馬だからこれからいいことが起るはず。
やっぱりこれだからポジィティブ精神も大事。

なので、僕の場合はStay Hungry, Stay Positive.
