二票も入ってるDevin Townsend Projectは軽視されてるというより、
細かく言うと、良い作品であるのは間違いないけど、
Devinにしては物足りないというか無難みたいな印象を持たれてる気がする。
あの作品は「良い作品」だけど以前のリメイクの曲があったりするように、
全体的に焼き直し感があって新鮮味に欠けますし、
決して「凄み溢れる作品」じゃないから。
あまりの奇才っぷりに圧倒されることが無いし逸脱してない。
去年の「Deconstruction」はそういう片鱗を感じる凄い作品(同時に難解でしたが…)だったし、
寝食忘れるくらい作業に没頭して家に限らずスタジオで寝泊りして何ヶ月も篭って、
一切の妥協を許さずに音を重ねまくって、曲によっては200トラックくらい使ったという、
「Infinity」やSYLの「CITY」のような作品があるだけに、
余計にこう…がっかり感というか反動が大きかった人も多かったと思う。
まぁ、Devinにポップで難解過ぎない物求めてる人は丁度良いんでしょうし、
本人が「Infinity」や「CITY」以上の作品は作れないというか、
もう精神的にも体力的に厳しいとか言ってるらしいからw
期待しては駄目なのかもですがwww
ただ自分はDevinは超絶に凄い作品を作れる変人で奇才な人…
突然「人は何故髪を生やすのか」と考えて「意味無いな」と結論を出してスキンヘッドにしたり、
「人は神は居なくても生きられるけど食べ物食わなきゃ生きられないやん。
なら俺の主食のチーズバーガーは神だな！」と考え、
壮大なチーズバーガー万歳な曲作って、
自分でこの曲は壮大な自己満足だと言うような、
素敵で奇才な人なだけに期待はし続けますけどねwww

二票も入ってるDevin Townsend Projectは軽視されてるというより、
細かく言うと、良い作品であるのは間違いないけど、
Devinにしては物足りないというか無難みたいな印象を持たれてる気がする。
あの作品は「良い作品」だけど以前のリメイクの曲があったりするように、
全体的に焼き直し感があって新鮮味に欠けますし、
決して「凄み溢れる作品」じゃないから。
あまりの奇才っぷりに圧倒されることが無いし逸脱してない。
去年の「Deconstruction」はそういう片鱗を感じる凄い作品(同時に難解でしたが…)だったし、
寝食忘れるくらい作業に没頭して家に限らずスタジオで寝泊りして何ヶ月も篭って、
一切の妥協を許さずに音を重ねまくって、曲によっては200トラックくらい使ったという、
「Infinity」やSYLの「CITY」のような作品があるだけに、
余計にこう…がっかり感というか反動が大きかった人も多かったと思う。
まぁ、Devinにポップで難解過ぎない物求めてる人は丁度良いんでしょうし、
本人が「Infinity」や「CITY」以上の作品は作れないというか、
もう精神的にも体力的に厳しいとか言ってるらしいからw
期待しては駄目なのかもですがwww
ただ自分はDevinは超絶に凄い作品を作れる変人で奇才な人…
突然「人は何故髪を生やすのか」と考えて「意味無いな」と結論を出してスキンヘッドにしたり、
「人は神は居なくても生きられるけど食べ物食わなきゃ生きられないやん。
なら俺の主食のチーズバーガーは神だな！」と考え、
壮大なチーズバーガー万歳な曲作って、
自分でこの曲は壮大な自己満足だと言うような、
素敵で奇才な人なだけに期待はし続けますけどねwww
