考えさせられる言葉

3月11日(火曜日)

昨日、週刊ＳＴが郵便受けに届いていた。
そのなかのＮＥＷＳＭＡＫＥＲＳの記事が目に留まった
ので紹介します。

”A nation that does not read for itself cannot think for
itself, and a nation that cannot think for itself risks
losing both its idenity and its freedom.”
(自ら読書をしない国民は自ら考えることができません。
そして自ら考えることのできない国民は、そのアイデンティティー
と自由を失う恐れがあります)

読書好きだというローラ・ブッシュ(Laura Bush)米大統領夫人の
言葉です。

まるでどこかの国民向けのような。やはり自分で考えるクセをつけないと
まずいことになりそうだなあ。今後の教訓だなあ。
ローラ夫人のほうが、好戦的な夫よりも大統領にいいかも。思慮深
そうだし。ヒラリーさんとオバマさんでは、オバマさんのほうが好み
だなあ。

今週の映画は『魔法にかけられて(Enchanted)』で楽しめそうな感じ
です。

5月28日(月)

今日は、銀行のＡＴＭで預金をして、
スーパーで買い物をした。
お昼に、週刊ＳＴが届いた。
表紙は、ジョニー・デップさんだった。
私は、どちらかと言うとオーランド・ブルームさん
のほうがいいなあ。
石川　遼君の写真が、国内のトップ記事に載っていた。
久しぶりに明るい話題でよかった。

I read the English composition article.

英作文の投稿記事を読んだ。
>　取るに足らない問題など一つも無い

☆「No + 名詞」で始まる表現を使う。(ひとつの・・・もない)

I heard Mastuoka Ministry took suicide.

I wonder he could not smooth himself.
自分をごまかすことができなかったのかなあ。
I am sorry that he could not open his think.
　彼の思いを表明出来なかったのが残念だ。

Zardのボーカリストの坂井　泉水(いずみ)さんが、
入院していた病院の階段から落ちて亡くなったらしい。
彼女は、子宮頸がんで入院していたらしい。
元気なイメージしか思い浮かばないので、信じられないが
本当のようだ。神様が彼女の歌声をそばで聴きたくなったの
だろうか？彼女の新しいＣＤが聴けないのが寂しい。

I look at the article in Week ST.
I tried English compose.

難しそう。これでいいかな。
翻訳って、相手が望む表現にしないといけないのね。

５月の最初の4連休に入った。

The newspaper of Week ST of April 27 was arrived my mailbox.
4月27日号の週刊STが郵便箱に届いた。
The Nagasaki mayor's affair was inserted in National top.
長崎市長さんの事件は、国内のトップに載せられた。
The Virginia’s affair was inserted in World second.
バージニアの事件は国外の2番目だった。
I looked at the article with my tired mood.
　うんざりした気分でその記事を眺めた。
I wish light article was inserted in the newspaper.
明るい記事が載ってると良かったのになあ。

せっかくの記事だけど、少しも嬉しくなかった。
次は、いいニュースだといいけど。

Today, I tried to change disposal and arrange cloths box etc in back space.
押入れの片づけをした。
It was herder than I thought.
I am a poor arrangement.
整理が下手だ。

B型だからかなあ。
I got through once p. m 1 o’clock.
午後1時に、いったん終えることにした。
I have a lunch with leftover.
The week ST April 13 arrived to our mail box.
I saw that Mr. Daiske Matsuzaka picture was big used on cover of week ST.
