6/26日、Alonsoの故郷であるOviedoにMuseo Y Circuito Fernando Alonso
と名付けたサーキット＆博物館をオープン
Alonso："Es un día especial para mí después de tantos años de trabajo
y de previsión por parte de mi padre y hasta de casualidades para encontrar algunas cosas.
Para mí tener un circuito de karts donde los chicos puedan complir el mismo sueño
que yo sin buscarte la vida y viajando por todo el mundo, me hace muy feliz.
Nunca he competido en un trazado como este asi que no me tiembla
la voz al decir que es el mejor del mundo.
Hay que darle lo mejor a los mejores, así tienes menos obstáculos.
Sin viene un talento mayor de lo habitual, que despunta,
hay que allanarle el camino, no ponerles obstáculos.
Haces a la gente feliz con unas instalaciones así.
Yo ni pensaba que llegaría a la F1 y era feliz solo subiéndome a un kart,
aunque fuera en un parking, así que esta es la razón principal de haberlo hecho."
This is a special day for me after so many years of work
and planning by my father,as well as coincidences that allowed us to find some of the things on show.
For me, having a karting track where kids can pursue the same dream
as me without worrying about making a living from it or travelling around the world, makes me very happy.
I've never raced on a track like this so I have no hesitation in saying it's the best in the world.
We have to offer the best to the best, so they have fewer obstacles to overcome.
Whenever a great talent comes along, one that is outstanding,
we need to help them on their way, not hold them back.
Facilities like these make people happy.
I never thought about getting into F1, I was just happy every time I got into a kart,
even though it was in a car park - that was the main motivation for doing it.
