そんな中、先月上旬、インラック・シナワット（Yingluck Shinawatra）首相により議会総選挙が行われたが、首相に反対する人達が候補者名簿登録を邪魔したりタイ各地の投票所を封鎖したことで、投票できない人が多数出た。
