2年前の5月31日のことになるが、イスラエルによる Gaza 地区封鎖に抗議するため Gaza 地区に向かっていた抗議船団の一隻こと Mavi Marmara号 をイスラエル軍が襲撃→船に乗ってた9人が殺害される、なんて事件があった。

この事件について、イスラエルでも、その前後におけるイスラエル政府やイスラエル軍の対応（＋Gaza 地区封鎖）について検証する委員会（Turkel Commission）を設けていた。
しかし、その調査結果は、イスラエル政府の主張に正当性を与えるものだった・・・。
