9月22日にルクス市のキルヒベルク地区で、現代美術のプライベート・コレクションと建物が一般公開されました。今回は、ドイツの官営銀行デカ・バンクを紹介します。メイン・ストリートにある銀行マンと言われている傘を持った大きな紳士像が目印です。

On Sept.22 it was a public opening day of private art collection and the office in the Kirchberg area of Luxembourg City. This time I introduce you German state bank Deka bank. They have a big gentleman with umbrella as the symbol in the main street. It is called banker.

今回は、9月15、16日の週末に公開されたブラッセル南駅近くの仏新幹線整備工場を紹介します。TGVのモーターは、意外にも小型でした。W杯ラクビーがフランスで開催されているため、W杯ラクビーを記念した塗装のタリスもありました。

This time I introduce the opening day of TGV maintenance plant near Brussels south station on Sept.15 and 16. The motor of TGV was small. As Rugby World Cup 2007 is held on France, there is a memorial painted Thalys train.

9月15、16日の文化財公開日にメッス軍総督邸が一般公開されましたので、総督邸、庭と地下壕を紹介します。庭に入口のある地下壕は、かってモーゼル川までつながっていました。総督邸は19世紀末のドイツ占領時代にドイツ軍総督が居住するために建設され、第一次大戦後は、第二次大戦中でのドイツ再占領時を除いて、フランス軍の総督が執務しています。

On Sept. 15 and 16 Governor Palace was opened in public as the heritage day. I introduce Governor Palace, garden and underground road. This road that has the entrance in the garden was connected until Moselle river. This palace was built by German Army as Greman Governor Palace during the German occupation period of 19th century. After WWI French military governor has worked here except WWII period.

今回は、仏東部の花一杯のモーゼル川のほとりにある古い町メッスを紹介します。古代ローマ帝国の一部で、一時ドイツに占領されていたため、ドイツ時代の建物も駅周辺で見られます。

This time I introduce the old town Metz along Moselle river. It is a flower town in the east of France. It was a part of ancient Roman Empier and also occupied by Germany before WWI. Therefore we can see the Imperial style buildings near the station like station and post office.
