`AHA HO`ANO
A 24-hour Vigil of Sacred Hawaiian Prayer Chants & Ceremonies
Friday, August 19 to Saturday, August 20, 2005

Coco Palms Resort Grounds, Wailua
Please join us under the Mahealani moon as we gather to ho`omana the
sacred lands of Wailuanuiho`ano by holding an overnight vigil of
traditional Hawaiian prayer chants and ceremonies in honor of our
ancient Hawaiian ancestors and ali`i. A set order of Hawaiian protocol
will be delivered at the top of every hour which will include mele
pule, mele oli, and hula pahu. Opportunities for the presentation of
traditional ho`okupu, along with offerings of chants, hula and ha`i
`olelo appropriate to the occasion will also be included. Participants
and observers will be expected to respect the intent of the gathering.
Traditional garments requested.
No photography or videotaping allowed.
No protesting, picketing or disruptive activities allowed.
This is a gathering of reverence, peace and aloha.
