数日前、スーダンの Omar Hassan al-Bashir 大統領に対し、国際司法裁判所（International Criminal Court）が逮捕状を出した。
逮捕状を出した理由としては、ダルフールにおける大量虐殺に関与した、というもの。
これに対し、平和維持軍（要は占領軍）や支援団体たちからは、 al-Bashir 大統領による嫌がらせを喰らう危険を訴えたとか。
これについて、少しばかし苦笑せざるを得ない論説を Nicholas D. Kristof 氏が書いてきたのだが・・・。

過去に何回か Kristof 氏の論説を読んだことがあるのだが、俺は正直気に入らない点が多いんだよな（苦笑）。
なんせ、Kristof 氏はよく欧米各国の行動を是とする論をぶち上げるもんだから・・・。
実際、al-Bashir 大統領が関与してるかもしれないダルフールの虐殺について、Kristof 氏は中国政府の対応（スーダンに武器輸出を続けてるとか）を割と長く批判している。
ただし、中国政府が今後 al-Bashir 大統領へどのような対応を取るか、について Kristof 氏は留保しているが。
で、中国政府の批判をやった後 Kristof 氏は何故かアラブ諸国の対応を批判している。

Unfortunately, the Arab League's secretary general, Amr Moussa, who quite properly denounces abuses when suffered by Palestinians, has chosen to side with Bashir rather than the hundreds of thousands of Muslims killed in Darfur.
If Israel bombed some desert in Darfur, Arab leaders might muster some indignation about violence there.
