『日本書紀』応神天皇 12
是歲、百濟阿花王薨。天皇、召直支王謂之曰「汝返於國、以嗣位。」仍且賜東韓之地而遣之。東韓者、甘羅城・高難城・爾林城是也。八月、遣平群木菟宿禰・的戸田宿禰於加羅、仍授精兵詔之曰「襲津彥久之不還、必由新羅之拒而滯之。汝等急往之擊新羅、披其道路。」於是木菟宿禰等、進精兵、莅于新羅之境。新羅王、愕之服其罪。乃率弓月之人夫、與襲津彥共來焉。
≪英訳≫
That year, the King of Baekje(百済), known as Aka, passed away. The Emperor called upon the Crown Prince, Toki, and said to him, “Return to your country and succeed to the throne.” Consequently, he was granted the land of Donghan(東韓) and sent off. Donghan refers to the fortresses of Kamura, Konan, and Nirin.
In August, Hegrui no Tsukunosukune and Ikuha Todanosukune were dispatched to Gaya, armed with elite soldiers and an imperial decree stating, “Sotsuhiko has not returned for a long time, likely obstructed by Silla’s interference. You must swiftly go and attack Silla to clear the way.”
Tsukunosukune and his forces advanced and confronted the border of Silla. The king of Silla, startled, admitted his guilt. He then led the people of Yuzuki, together with Sotsuhiko, back to their homeland.
≪この英文の和訳≫
その年、百済(くだら)の阿花王(あかおう)が亡くなりました。天皇は阿花王の長男である直支王(ときおう 阿花王の長子)に、「自国に戻って、王位を継ぐように」と言われました。よって、彼は東韓(とうかん)の地を与えられて送り出されました。東韓とは、甘羅城(かむらのさし)、高難城(こうなんのさし)、爾林城(にりんのさし)のことです。
八月には、平群木菟宿禰(へぐりのつくのすくね)と的戸田宿禰(いくはのとだのすくね)が加羅(から)に派遣されました。彼らには精兵が与えられ、「襲津彦(そつひこ)が長い間戻ってこないのは、新羅(しらぎ)が邪魔をしているからであろう。速やかに新羅を討ち、道を開け」と言われました。木菟宿禰らは兵を進め、新羅の国境に至りました。新羅の王は恐れて、その罪に服しました。そして、弓月(ゆづき)の民を率いて襲津彦と共に帰国しました。
