What is OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus Advanced function

Question:

I saw there is an Advanced function under Airbag reset of OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus? What does it do?

Does it require license or adapters?

No all airbag has advanced function, only a few.
It is a bonus function. Need to have airbag reset function activated. No extra license or adapter required.

It is used to read and write eeprom/flash of the ECU.
If there is this menu, give priority to this function and backup EEPROM/Flash data.

Write VIN: use this function to write back the correct VIN after erase crash.

How to Use Toyota ISTA for Supra J29 without License

Techstream is for all Toyota and Lexus except Supra and ProAce. Supra needs Toyota ISTA and Proace requires diagbox.

Here are useful tips on setting up Toyota ISTA for Supra J29 diagnosis and flashing.

Step 1: Download Toyota ISTA from the official Toyota website. You don’t need to sign up or pay for anything.




Step 2: Install Toyota Techstream V18 and activate it. (Don’t use patch solution, ask for activation key on forums, MHHAUTO etc)
Step 3: After activation of Techstream, install ISTA. Toyota’s ISTA checks for an activated Techstream install. Due to that, there is no need for additional activation in ISTA.


Install Toyota Techstream last version and get a free activation from forums.

Then install Toyota ISTA last version.
And you will have Toyota Ista activated too. No need license.
You have to use an ENET cable as the one used for BMW or Volvo.

NOTE:

To activate the program, you need to have activated Techstream version 16 and later on the required PC before installation. Techstream has to be activated before installing Toyota ista.
Ista looks at the activation on the activation of the Techstream and if it is activated, then uses its activation.


That’s all you need.

If you want to use the psdzdata from the ISTA install for ESYS, type this command into CMD as administrator:
MKLINK /d “C:\Data\psdzdata” “C:\Program Files (x86)\ISTA4J29\PSdZ\psdzdata”

Some users can successfully do flashing using ESYS 3.30.1.

Better don’t install both BMW Ista and Toyota Ista on the same PC.

Autel IM608 Ford F350 2023 AKL No Beeping Solution

Problem:

I have a problem with a 2021 F350, all the keys lost, with the alarm going off. Key in the ignition. I’ve been waiting 10 minutes, the car beeps twice then says OK and Autel IM608 asks me to wait approximately another 10 minutes. It is not beeping, and after the error to enter security. Has something similar happened to any of you, and if so, how can you resolve it?


Solution:

Turn off Bluetooth and connect USB. Use Gbox to turn off active alarm. Try again.

Autel is not a good tool for Ford active alarms. Obdstar and Autopropad are far better.

Other tools out has a bypass cable set up that works great, not autel.

Autel really sucks at doing active alarm, I have been successful with it but it’s a headache. I have fdrs now, done in 10 minutes.

How to Reflash OBDSTAR DC706 Firmware

If OBDSTAR DC706 does not come in anymore after software update, only displays the error ‘the DiagProgram Application has Stopped’. How to fix it?

Solution:

In this case you will need a firmware reflashing (reset to factory setting).



Flash file is not open to everyone. Contact our customer service by providing your serial number.

Download the Firmware Flash file and operation instructions to flash your device.
After reflashing the firmware, the device will be restored to factory settings.
You need to reconnect to WiFi, then enter the personal center to log in your account again.
After logging, enter the one-click upgrade to download software and install.



The reflashing procedure is similar as other OBDSTAR tablets, just use specific flash file.
