読売新聞が発行する英字新聞"The Japan News"のウェブ版が会員限定の記事ばかりになってしまったことを以前書きました。
PCやスマホで読める何か良いサイトはないかと探していたところ共同通信社が配信する"Kyodo News+"を見つけました。

見出しが読みやすく写真もキレイで没頭し易いです。記事の更新も緩やかなので私のような英文を速読できない人間でも隙間時間にスマホでほぼ全ての記事を読むことができます。
私は情報に疎いのでこんな良いサイトを知りませんでした。英語学習者にとっては知れ渡っている定番サイトなのかもしれませんね。もしご存知ない方がいれば是非！
話は変わりますが最近ピアノを弾きたい衝動にかられています。
先日、上の娘にジブリの「千と千尋の神隠し」のDVDを観せたらえらく気に入ってしまい、かれこれ５回位一緒に観ています。時々テーマ曲の「あの夏へ」のメロディーを口ずさんでいたのでおもちゃのキーボードで一緒に練習することにしました。
今は楽譜がなくてもYouTubeでこんな動画がいっぱいあります。でも３歳の娘にはまだ難しいようです。
私がこれにハマってしまい、時間を見つけて練習を続けています。元々楽譜を読むのが苦手なので私にはこれがピッタリ。動画の再生速度を遅くして再生し、少しずつ弾けるようになってきました。
おもちゃのキーボードでは鍵が足りませんが、アレンジしながら弾いているとそれなりに聴こえるので楽しいです。通しで弾けるようになったら安い８８鍵の電子ピアノを買ってみようかな？
