今回は小ネタ。
今日は、一応クリスマスイブ。
キリスト教にまつわる重要な場所がたくさんあるパレスチナでは、多分様々なイベントが行われてる（た）と思われる。
（ギリシア正教的には、グレゴリオ暦における来年1月7日がクリスマスなんだけど）
これに関して、米国やイスラエルの忠実な部下ことマフムード・アッバース（Mahmoud Abbas：Abu Mazen：محمود عباس）議長が、妙なことを語っていた。

冒頭、Abbas 議長は、イスラエル政府による入植地建設でキリスト様生誕の地ベツレヘム（Bethlehem）周辺の土地が没収されたりエルサレム（Jerusalem）が占領されてることについて述べていた。
その上で、Bethlehem にある聖誕教会の世界遺産登録実現など自分達の「実績」について触れていた。

Abbas 議長の過去の経歴を踏まえると、正直説得力がない気がするのは俺だけ？
なんせ、イスラエルにより何度となく繰り返されるパレスチナの人達への攻撃にまともに抗議しなかったり、パレスチナ難民の帰還権放棄を「和平交渉」内で言いだすつもりだし。
何かの冗談か？
で、この後、Abbas 議長は、今年の国連総会で暫定政府（PA）が「オブザーバー国家」に昇格したことを誇らしげに語っていた。

随分上機嫌なコメントなこと（謎）。
というか、「オブザーバー国家」への格上げにより、Abbas 議長は Hamas に対し「パレスチナの唯一の代表」と言い張ることができるようになった、って意味が強いのよね。
もっとも、先月イスラエル軍が Gaza 地区に対し空爆をやらかした結果、Hamas の発言力が強くなったのは何かの皮肉か・・・。
それはそうと。
イスラエル政府は、Gaza 地区の人達でキリスト教徒の人達557人に対し 西岸地区へ一時的に滞在する許可を出してた（実際に行ける人がどれだけいるかは不明）。

Abbas 議長は、こうした許可を一時的なものじゃなくするために何かの働きかけを行ってるんだろうか・・・？
