The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) approved on March 25 the production and marketing of Alexby, a vaccine for RS virus infection developed by British pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline, for people aged 60 and older. This is the first vaccine for this infection in Japan.
