東北のヒーロー、タイ進出
A Japanese hero character who was created to entertain
children affected by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake
made his debut in Thailand through a television program.
Tohoku Gasshin Niraigar fought against demons with
Thai Miraigar in the 13-episode TV series.

It's been six years since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) is working to protect
people even if a major earthquake hits.
The JMA detects tremors the instant they happen and
issues an early earthquake warning to notify the public
before an earthquake strikes.
Even in places far away from an earthquake's epicenter,
tall buildings may shake quite a lot.
The JMA forecasts the size of long-period ground motion,
and communicates this information to people.
Warabi asked the JMA's Okinawa Regional Headquarters to
tell us about this system.

The elder half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un
was murdered in Malaysia with highly toxic VX nerve agent,
according to Malaysian police.
Two women were charged over the murder of Kim Jong Nam.
In addition, the police suspect the involvement of
North Koreans.

Many tourists come from mainland Japan and places outside
of Japan to Okinawa to enjoy the beautiful nature and
unique culture.
But, what would happen if a major disaster struck
your first time in a new place?
You might be very worried and probably not know what
to do.
A new initiative has been launched known as tourism
crisis management.
The goal is to help tourists feel at ease and keep
themselves safe if something were to happen.
To do this, it is important that the people of Okinawa
be considerate of others, especially visiting tourists.
