ラッキー？

シャル君を尋ねるべく6時前に家をでました。いつものようにラジオを聴きながら。でもきょうは日曜なので

東京FMを選局しました。５分くらい走ったところで交通情報が流れました。早朝のトラック横転事故で横横は逗子IC と横須賀IC間が通行止めになっているとのことでした。

これから４０キロ以上先の場所ですが、あきらかに渋滞が予想されるので今日はやめて明日行くことにし引き返しました。

明日月曜日は英語のレッスンの日です。生徒さんにお願いして、予定を変更して明日のレツスンを今日に変えてもらいました。（実は今月から頼まれて英語のプライベートレッスンをしています。

シャル君には明日まで待ってもらいます。

 

　I left home before 6 o'clock to visit Sharu-kun, as usual, while listening to the radio. However, since it was Sunday, I tuned in to Tokyo FM. About 5 minutes into the drive, the traffic report mentioned that the road between Zushi IC and Yokosuka IC was closed due to an early morning truck overturn accident.

Considering that my destination was over 40 kilometers away and traffic congestion was expected, I decided to cancel the visit for today and go tomorrow instead.

Tomorrow is Monday, which is my English lesson day. I asked my student for a favor to change the schedule and have the lesson today instead. (Actually, I've been asked to provide private English lessons starting this month.)

I'll have Sharu-kun wait until tomorrow.
