夏めく

シャル君の馬房の外に筍が芽を出し始めました。鶯も盛んに鳴いて、気温は２０度前後で快適です。

新緑が美しくいい季節ですが、たまに夏を思わせるような日があります。

２５日がそうでした。体調不良でしばらく乗り運動のなかったシャル君は、今日１５分くらい並足で先生と運動しました。

完全とは言えないまでもだいいぶ元気になりました。

お隣のボエム君はシャル君より１歳上の２７才です。でもシャル君より元気で頑張っています。

Outside of Sharuru's stall, bamboo shoots have begun to sprout. The nightingales are chirping vigorously, and the temperature is around 20 degrees, making it quite comfortable.

It's a beautiful season with fresh greenery, but occasionally there are days that hint at summer.

The 25th was one such day. Sharuru, who hadn't been exercising for a while due to feeling unwell, did some light exercises with the instructor for about 15 minutes today.

While not completely recovered, he has become much livelier.

Next door, Boemu-kun is 27 years old, one year older than Sharuru. But he's more energetic and is working harder than Sharuru.

 

嬉しい事三つ

We are the Champions

日曜日朝いくとシャル君が回復してご飯を食べていたこと。先生ご夫妻の一心同体の介抱が功をそうしました。

夕方パンちゃんファミリー（息子の家族）が来て夕食を共にしたこと。でも近所の仲良しのコーギーのアインちゃんがもうすぐアメリカに帰ります。さみしくなるパンちゃん。

三つ目は仲良しの友人よりドラムの練習風景が送られてきました。

いつも元気をもらっています。

On Sunday morning, Sharu-kun was recovering and eating breakfast. The devoted care of the teacher and his wife paid off.

In the evening, the Panchan family (son's family) came over, and we had dinner together. However, Panchan felt lonely because her close neighbor, the Corgi, Ein-chan, is soon returning to America.

Lastly, a video of drum practice was sent by a close friend, always uplifting my spirits.

また疝痛

こんなにいい気候なのにシャル君の体調はいまいちです。

一昨日は先生を乗せて元気にしていたのに、今朝は疝痛の症状です。

痛み止めを打ってもらい、絶食です。

その後獣医さんに来ていただき診察と治療を受けました。

今回は前回よりも症状が軽そうです。

高齢馬に適した食事に変えてみることもいいかもしれないと言われました。

今後は年に合わせて飼料をかえていく必要がありそうです。

Despite such good weather, Sharu's condition isn't great.

The day before yesterday, he was lively with the teacher on board, but this morning, he's showing symptoms of colic.

He received painkillers and is fasting.

Later, the vet came to examine and treat him.

This time, the symptoms seem milder than last time.

It was suggested that it might be a good idea to change his diet to one suitable for older horses.

It seems that we'll need to adjust his feed according to his age in the future.

 

みどりが眩しい

新緑の美しい季節です。

お花も新緑を取り入れてさわやかに活けることが出来ました。

いい季節になりうれしく思っています。桜は散ったけれど色色な花が咲き乱れています。

こんな季節が一年中続いたならどんなに幸せでしょう。

It's a beautiful season of fresh greenery. I was able to arrange flowers incorporating the fresh greenery and make them refreshing. I'm happy that it's become such a good season. The cherry blossoms have fallen, but various flowers are blooming all around. If such a season could last throughout the year, how happy we would be.

一頭でも多く

昨日トキマツ君の肢？（蹄）が痛そうだったので気になります。

彼はもと競走馬で今乗馬用に調教中です。

なんとなく子供っぽくて可愛いので大好きです。

ここで命を長らえて治療も受けられます。

いい子になってみなに可愛がってほしいです。

I'm concerned because Tokimatsu-kun seemed to be in pain in his hoof yesterday. He used to be a racehorse and is now undergoing training for riding.

He's somehow childish and cute, so I love him a lot.

He can live longer here and receive treatment.

I hope he behaves well and everyone will take care of him.
