文士たちが育った街〈英訳付〉

横浜黄金町や日の出町近辺で、大活躍した大衆小説家としては長谷川伸が知られています。

最近、そこで幼少期を過ごした小説家には大仏次郎、吉川英治、獅子文六に加え、有島武郎がいたことを知りました。

Shin Hasegawa is known as a popular novelist who was very active in the Koganecho and Hinodecho areas of Yokohama.

Recently, I learned that the novelists who spent his childhood there were Jiro Osaragi, Eiji Yoshikawa, Bunroku Shishi, as well as Takeo Arishima.

2、3年遠回りをしたけれど

東京塙会の新規会員募集ポスター〈英訳付〉

福島県塙町をみんなで応援する会があります。

そこの🫵八幡さんから、至急、新規会員募集ポスターを5枚作ってくれないか、というご依頼がありました。

ネット印刷を使えばできます、と答えてしまった私ですが、その原稿には想定外に手間取りました。

しかし、その作業はとても楽しいものでした。

出来上がったポスターが、このゴールデンウィークに、道の駅はなわやJR磐城塙駅に掲示されると思ったら、私はとても嬉しくなりました。

There is a group to support Hanawa Town, Fukushima Prefecture.

Mr. 🫵Yahata there asked me if I could make 5 new member recruitment posters as soon as possible.

I answered that it can be done by using Internet printing, but the manuscript took more time than I expected.

But the work was a lot of fun.

I was very happy to think that the completed posters would be displayed at Michi-no-Eki Hanawa and JR Iwaki Hanawa Station during Golden Week.

今週の徹子の部屋〈英訳付〉

今週の徹子の部屋には、100歳を迎えた茶道裏千家前家元の千玄室氏が登場しました。

彼は、終戦直前の特攻隊待機組（天候悪化）で命が助かりました。

終戦後の昭和21年メーデーの日に、学徒出陣で同期の西村晃さんに、偶然再会したそうです。

千さんが文部省に用事があって日比谷通りを歩いていた時のことです。

デモ行進で、青年俳優座の旗を掲げた隊列から「せ〜ん」と呼ぶ声がしました。

それが、特攻隊同期の西村晃だったそうです。

隊列に混ざり合いながら、2人は再会を喜び、千さんもメーデーのデモ後進に参加したのですね。

In Tetsuko's room this week, Mr. Genshitsu Sen, former head of the Urasenke tea ceremony, who turned 100 years old, made an appearance.

He saved his life in the kamikaze squad waiting group (weather deterioration) just before the end of the war.

After the end of the war, on May Day in 1946, he happened to reunite with Akira Nishimura, who was in the same class as a student when he left for the front.

It happened when Sen was walking down Hibiya Street on business at the Ministry of Education.

During the demonstration march, I heard a voice calling out "Sen" from the parade carrying the Seinen Haiyuza flag.

It seems that it was Akira Nishimura, who was in sync with the kamikaze corps.

While mingling in the formation, the two were happy to see each other again, and Sen also participated in the May Day demonstration backwards.

明日は中央メーデーに参加〈英訳付〉

今日も朝から、いろいろありました。

OB会のお手伝い、それが終わると金曜日定例の詩吟教室、大声を出したから、生徒さんたちとコーヒー☕️で気持ちを落ち着けて帰宅しました。

ランチは、私の妻特製のお弁当でした。

おやつは、生徒さんたちからのウイロウとコーヒーゼリー、チョコレートでした。

チョコレートは食べ切れなかったので、家に持ち帰りました。

明日は、毎年のように参加している代々木公園の中央メーデーに参加します。

I had a lot going on this morning.

I helped out at the OB meeting, and after that, I had my regular Friday shigin class, and since I yelled so loud, I had coffee ☕️ with my students to calm down and then went home.

Lunch was my wife's special bento.

Snacks were willow, coffee jelly, and chocolate from the students.

I couldn't finish the chocolate, so I took it home.

Tomorrow, I will participate in the Central May Day in Yoyogi Park, which I attend every year.

LINEの文字認識は手書きでもOK〈英訳付〉

私は、黄金町のカフ・サンポポラでランチのあとのコーヒータイムです。

昨日、小学校、中学校、高校の同級生の訃報が届きました。

悲しんでいても仕方がないので、依頼されていた東京塙会のポスターを作成しました。

来月、所用で鹿児島県に行くのですが、その時のあいさつ文も考え、原稿にしておこうと思います。

さて、この手書きの文章をラインの文字認識は、どれだけの正解率でテキスト化してくれたでしょうか？

その結果は98%、ほぼ手直しなしです。すごいなぁ〜！

最近、私の良い傾向として、何があってもイライラすることが少なくなりました。

時々、無性に腹立つこともありますが、すぐに忘れ自分の中で消化できるようになったようです。

それは多分、古希を迎えるにあたって、残された時間が少ないから、イライラしている時間がもったいない、という現実認識に由来するのでしょう。

シロツメクサのすごい生命力〈英訳付〉

歩道にシロツメクサが、もっこりと萌え出しています。

固い地盤を突き破るようにして、すごい生命力だなぁ〜と思いました。

White clover is sprouting up on the sidewalk.

3月に著者の講演を聴いた

来月、私は古希を迎える

100歳か

私は100歳まで生きる覚悟などない

ただ、100歳まで生きてしまう可能性は確実にある

それならば、明るく楽しく元気よく暮らそう

と思っている

覚悟ではなく現実なのだ

初めてパーティー会場を予約〈英訳付〉

パーティールームを予約しました。

5月の会議をするために、3時間かけて会議をする予定です。

民間の会議室は高いし、県や市の会議室は安いけど予約競争があって、なかなか大変なのです。

今回は、ガラガラ空いている時間帯を利用しました。

初めてのことなので、どうなるか分からないですが、楽しく効率的にやれたらいいなぁ〜と思います。

Private conference rooms are expensive, and prefectural and city conference rooms are cheap, but there is competition for reservations, and it is quite difficult.

This time, I used the empty time zone.
