廣州話歇後語：老鼠跌落天平ーー自己秤（通：稱）自己。你可以想像一只老鼠掉到天秤的一端的盤子上，另一端什麼砝碼都沒有，結果它的那一邊就掉下去，好像顯示它很重的樣子。結果老鼠就覺得自己很重，很害。這句歇後語的真實意思是：自己贊（頌揚）自己，自己誇自己，但暗含別人不同意，不認同。含譏諷的意思。只適用於貶義使用。
Cantonese folk wisecracks: A mouse drops into the balance. A mouse drops into one side of the balance--it balance itself(because there is no any weight at the otherside). You can imagine: while a mouse drop in a side of the balance, & there is nothing on the other side, then the balance would lean the side of mouse, and show as it is so heavy. The mouse see this result as if it can heavier than anything. Its true meaning is: someone praise himself, but other donot agree. It has sardonic sense, just used as in derogatory sense.
