Developed countries such as the UK are not inferior to China in research and development. We lose to China because we lose to China in "manufacturing products." Some of the manufacturing of products includes the employment of "low wage workers".
This is common to the US "Mexico border special zone" and France's "Algerian special zone". We need "latest equipment," "advanced production engineers," and "low-wage workers."
