"It's like heaven compared to America" - The reality of nursing care in Japan revealed on a return
Yasuhiro Nagano Opinion
May 18, 2025 (Sunday Edition)
Yesterday, I proposed a "linear canal railway (ultra-high-speed freight railway exclusively for containers)" that would cross the American continent in two hours, utilizing the technology of Japan's linear Shinkansen.
We will build nursing care facilities for the elderly in the "special zone" where the "linear canal railway" will be built. This is because "low-wage workers" live in the "special zone".
Hospitalization costs are high in the United States, but the cost of nursing care facilities is also high. The cost of staying in a so-called nursing home is $7,756 per month for a shared room with multiple people and $8,821 per month for a private room. It is even more expensive in urban areas.
If we build a nursing care facility in the "special zone", we can provide it at about a quarter of the market price. The reason is that if we employ temporary immigrants as caregivers, the labor costs will be "low cost".
Illegal immigrants are accepted in "special zones" with "temporary immigrant status", receive education, and are employed as "caregivers" and "care assistants".
Even in Japan, "caregivers" are low-paid despite "hard work". For this reason, we are accepting foreigners from Southeast Asia and other places with "care skills" qualifications, but the current situation is that it is difficult due to the "barrier" of the Japanese language.
In Japan, the number of Japanese who want to work in caregiving is decreasing. The only way to solve this problem is to accept foreigners with "care skills" qualifications.
I think the situation is even more serious in the United States. There is a problem that the nursing care costs are high and cannot be paid. I think the shortage of caregivers is even more serious.
In the United States, if the situation continues as it is, children who are caring for their parents will be forced to quit their jobs to care for their parents.
The situation in China seems to be the most serious. Due to the one-child policy, couples have to care for four parents. It seems that development of nursing care robots and the like is also progressing.
Initially, I thought of the "special zone" as a "factory zone" where "low-wage workers" live, but "nursing home zones" were also added.
The reason is that "nursing homes" also need low-wage workers.
There are no "towns" in America where low-wage workers live. In the first place, America is a country where you cannot live on wages like Chinese or Mexican workers.
I think that the "Trump tariffs" are necessary in the current America. The only way to protect American jobs is to raise import prices with tariffs and maintain the competitiveness of American companies.
However, in the case of nursing care workers, tariffs cannot be used to "deal" with them. If the wages of nursing care workers are raised, Americans will not be able to pay for nursing care.
I am proposing to "accept" illegal immigrants from Central and South America with the status of "temporary immigrants," limiting their residence to the "special zone."
Since many temporary immigrants cannot speak English, they should learn English and American culture while working in factories. If certain conditions are met, temporary immigrants will be given work qualifications and will be able to live in America.
Temporary immigrants who want to become care workers in the future will work as care assistants in care facilities in the "special zone" and learn English and specialized fields of care while working.
It will take about 10 years for them to leave the "special zone" as care workers and live in areas where ordinary Americans live. America should start preparing now.
President Trump says he will use the "Trump Tariff" to "cut" income taxes. I think the revenue from the "Trump Tariff" should be used to create a "public nursing care insurance system" and used as a source of funds. President Trump, please do your best.

Part 2: Immigration Law Violation Cases, Sunday Edition
Chapter 7: When I was released from prison after completing my sentence, I read the newspaper and found out that a similar incident had occurred at the Philippine Embassy.
Philippine diplomats, embassy staff, and Filipino drivers have suffered the same damage as me.
I have also filed a criminal accusation against this case.
I and the Chinese in the 2010 immigration law violation case, and the Philippine Embassy staff and diplomats in 2013, were punished for the same reason.

I have submitted my complaint and the complaints of the Chinese and Filipinos to the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office, the Tokyo High Public Prosecutors Office, and the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office.
However, all of them were rejected. If the prosecutor accepts and rejects the case, I can request the Prosecutor's Review Board to prosecute, but I have no way to oppose the rejection.
I also appealed to political parties and Diet members. But they were all ignored.
A city council member accompanied me to the Democratic Party's legal advisor. However, the advisor's answer was that if the "principal offense" is found guilty, then the "crime of aiding and abetting" is established. Is he really a lawyer?
The Democratic Party's legal advisor says that all those who graduated from the Legal Training and Research Institute have the same answer. This is proof that Japan is not "governed under the law".
I asked the Japan Bar Association for support. They said that the JFBA does not have the "power" to solve the problem. Japan's "judicial system" is crazy.
I have "emailed" "political parties and Diet members", as well as "the Prime Minister's Office and the Human Rights Bureau" on "Facebook and (X)", but they are still ignoring me.
This case is an arbitrary misapplication of the law by police officers, prosecutors, and judges. (It is an illegal act).
The charges are "Abuse of the authority of a special public official" and "Crimes of False Complaints".
In my "personal opinion," the prosecutors "concealed" the "criminal complaint" and "criminal accusation" by their "authority." Therefore, the "statute of limitations" has been suspended.
"Chapter 8." This case is "legally" an "error in the application of law."
"Errors in the application of law" are not subject to "requests for retrial" under the "Criminal Procedure Law."
However, if the "crime of the inspectors and police officers involved in the case" is "proven," a request for retrial can be made.
1. The charge against the "special public officials" in this case is "abuse of the authority of special public officials."
They "arrested" us even though there was "no suspicion of a crime." And they even "detained" us. (There is a precedent for grand jury decisions.)
2. And it is "the crime of false accusation." It is a fact that they "indicted" us and even found us guilty in a "trial" in order to make us criminals.
Requests for retrial can be made by us or by the prosecutors.
I believe that the prosecution should admit guilt and make a request for a retrial.
I will not give up. It has been 15 years since the incident.
The only country that can resolve this case is the United States.
When Trump was the former president, he promised me.
He replied with a signed letter saying, "I will resolve this in a way that satisfies you."
I hope that this time he will keep his promise.
President Trump, let's work together to "revive the Rust Belt" and create a "special zone on the Mexican border."
And let's cross the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean in two hours with the "American Linear Canal Railway," a freight train dedicated to containers that will replenish the Panama Canal.
People around the world, please support us.
