性格を互いに気に入り認め合えるようなものでなくてはならない。
つまり、
互いの人格の中で共鳴し魅力を感じ合い、
結合したものが永遠の友である。
機嫌がよいこと、丁寧なこと、親切なこと、寛大なこと、等々、
幸福はつねに外に現われる。
歌わぬ詩人というものは真の詩人でない如く、
単に内面的であるというような幸福は真の幸福ではないであろう。
幸福は表現的なものである。
鳥の歌うが如くおのずから外に現われて
他の人を幸福にするものが真の幸福である。
