Let's Senryu !

Senryu is a three line Japanese poem that is structurally similar to haiku poetry.

So 17 syllables or less.

It differs from Haiku because it’s subject matter much more concerned with human nature and satiric humour.

So Senryu  projects the age and the society in a short form of 5/7/5.

 

Today's Senryu

Japanese → 日本に　届くミサイル　沙汰はなく

にっぽんに　とどくみさいる　さたはなく

①　A missile that North Korea has repeatedly tested. It is said that the United States does not hurt or itite because it is a single distance.

北朝鮮が盛んに発射している中・短距離ミサイル。

米国には痛くも痒くもないという。

Japanese →　夜来香　 雨傘の花　咲き続け

いえらいしゃん　あまがさのはな　さきつづけ

②　In Hong Kong, umbrellas continue to bloom one after another.

心の内は誰にも支配できない。

 

Japanese→　言論界 かつて煽った　傷の跡

げんろんかい　かつてあおった　きずのあと

③　The speech field in Japan greatly fueled the people at the time of the 　World War Ⅱ.

言うまでもなく先の大戦時のこと。

今日の川柳

日本に届くミサイル沙汰はなく

にっぽんにとどくみさいるさたはなく

A missile that North Korea has repeatedly tested.

北朝鮮が盛んに発射している中・短距離ミサイル。

米国には痛くも痒くもないという。

夜来香 雨傘の花咲き続け

いえらいしゃんあまがさのはなさきつづけ

In Hong Kong, umbrellas continue to bloom one after another.

 

燃え盛る情念を暴力で消し去ることはできない。

言論界かつて煽った傷の跡

げんろんかいかつてあおったきずのあと

The speech field in Japan greatly fueled the people at the time of the World War Ⅱ.

言うまでもなく先の大戦時のこと。

Today's Senryu

Japanes →　暑いから　暖房ボタン　押す老母

あついから　だんぼうぼたん　おすろうぼ

①　An old mother who pushes the heating switch by mistake in the hot summer.

エアコンのリモコンは高齢者には使いにくい。

Japanese →　新幹線　来てくれるなと　稀有なこと

しんかんせん　きてくれるなと　けうなこと

②　The governor of Saga Prefecture has announced that they

 do not need Shinkannsen train.

佐賀県知事の言い分。

よく分かるが・・・。

Japanese →　伊達巻が　握りの　山をガードする

だてまきが　にぎりのやまを　がーどする

③　Sushi,ｆirst of all, it is possible to eat from the egg grill.

 

先日銚子へ行った折、昼食に立ち寄った寿司店。

地元でも評判の絶品伊達巻がデンと鎮座している。

美味しさは格別、むろん握りの方も。

今日の川柳

暑いねと暖房ボタン押す老母

あついねとだんぼうぼたんおすろうぼ

エアコンのリモコンは高齢者には使いにくい。

新幹線来てくれるなと稀なこと

しんかんせんきてくれるなとまれなこと

 do not need Shinkannsen train.

佐賀県知事の言い分。

よく分かるが・・・。

伊達巻がまず口に入るにぎり鮨

だてまきがまずくちにいるにぎりずし

Sushi,First of all, it is possible to eat from the egg grill.

 

先日銚子へ行った折、昼食に立ち寄った寿司店。

地元でも評判の寿司店らしくネタの構成がめずらしい。

特製の伊達巻がデンと鎮座している。

しっとりとした食感、美味しさは格別、むろん握りの方も。

伊達巻とニギリを交互に食べてみた。

伊達巻がにぎりの味をいっそう引き立ててくれた。

 Today's Senryu 

Japanese →　利口者　悪知恵長けて　身を崩し

りこうもの　わるぢえたけて　みをくずし

①　Smart person destroy himselves by being smart.

世間も羨むエリートコースを突っ走った挙げ句。

よくあることで。

Jamanese　→　イワシでも　サブレとなって　出世する 

いわしでも　さぶれとなって　しゅっせする

②　Even weak sardines become sub-lesand get ahead in life.

銚子の銘菓　いわしサブレ 

Japanese →　胡蝶蘭　今どき咲かせる　初心なやつ

こちょうらん　いまどきさかせる　うぶなやつ

③　At the end of summer, the butterfly orchid sprouts. Se's a smart lady.

 やったね。でもこの冬はどうする？
