Laminated glass and insulating glass are both composed of two or more original glass sheets, but the combination methods are different.

Laminated Glass is made of two or more original glass sheets with a transparent plastic lining between each sheet, which is formed by hot pressing and bonding. The original glass is ordinary flat glass or float glass. The lining is mostly made of polyvinyl butyral and other plastic films. Laminated Glass is divided into flat Laminated Glass and curved Laminated Glass according to its shape. According to the appearance quality, it is divided into superior products and qualified products.

Insulating glass is made of two or more original glass sheets, separated by isolation frames at the periphery, and sealed with sealant, so that a dry air layer is formed between the glass layers. The original glass sheet adopts flat laminated, toughened, heat-absorbing, heat-reflective, embossed glass, etc. The sealant adopts two-component sealant, which must meet the performance requirements of insulating glass. The partition frame can be aluminum frame, stainless steel frame, etc. According to the plane shape, the hollow glass has square and rectangular shapes. Requirements for the appearance of hollow glass: The inner surface of the hollow glass must not be splashed with adhesive which may hinder the perspective. The inspection items of sealing, dew point, ultraviolet radiation, climate cycle and high temperature and high humidity performance of insulating glass must be qualified, otherwise it will be judged as unqualified product.
