米国政府の報道統制か？、原子力は、やはり危険としか言いようが無い。
今回は原子炉ではなく変圧器と言う事のようだが、本当にそうなのであろうか？。
本当は「冷却水の配管が爆発した！」などの深刻な問題なのかもしれない！。
仮に変圧器の爆発であったとしても、福島と同じように燃料棒が冷却出来なくなれば、同じように大爆発を起こす可能性があると言う事が言える。
放射能が漏れていないのにも関らず、現地メディアが報道していないと言う事は、日本と同じように現地の人々も「原発は歓迎していない」と言う事なのであろう。

【ワシントン＝中島達雄】米原子力規制委員会（ＮＲＣ）は９日、アーカンソー州にあるニュークリアワン原子力発電所２号機で変圧器が爆発する事故が起きたと発表。
事故対応センターを設置して、原因調査を始めた。
同原発を運営する電力大手エンタジー社によると、爆発は米中部時間の９日早朝に発生。火災が起きたが、放射性物質は漏れておらず、けが人も出なかった。
ＮＲＣの４段階のトラブル分類のうち、最も低い「異常事象」と判断している。
ＮＲＣによると、２号機は、通常の外部電源の供給が止まったため、原子炉が自動停止し、非常用ディーゼル発電機などで原子炉を冷却中。同社は原因が判明するまで、２号機を運転しないことを決めた。
１号機は運転を続けている。
同原発では３月、運搬中の発電機が落下して作業員１人が死亡、８人が負傷する事故が発生していた。

Arkansas Nuclear Plant Explosion Goes Largely Unreported By National Media
You may not have heard ミ in fact, you almost certainly didnユt ミ unless you live in Pope County, Arkansas, but just before 8 a.m. this morning, December 9, an explosion rocked the Arkansas Nuclear One power plant. Only later in the day did a few news wires pick up the story, relaying virtually nothing about it, only giving the official word that the fire was メcontained.モ
Pope County 911 operators confirmed calls came in reporting this explosion, but have not released details about the explosion or subsequent fires. Firefighters were dispatched and fires at the site were confirmed by the department, and by photos taken by residents near the site. Newswire reports tended to stay away from these local photographs, utilizing safe-looking stock images instead. Local Arkansas stayed far away from actual images of the site, using stock images as well to project the image that the fire was minor.
One resident said otherwise. They reportedly heard a メloud, ground shaking explosion and then saw smoke.モ The fire was massive.

There are no reports confirmed of deaths or injuries, and officials are telling the surrounding community of Russellville that they are in no danger, as the fire has been contained. We will update you as more information becomes available beyond the pacifying statements that do not address any concerns about radiation or the like.

URS provided environmental studies and a public involvement program in support of Arizona Public Service (APS) efforts to identify alternative transmission line routes for a proposed 40-mile transmission line in the Phoenix metropolitan area. URS conducted all environmental studies necessary to support the selection of a preferred route based on environmental factors and public input. More than 330 miles of preliminary routes were identified, assessed, and ranked to determine impacts for consideration in selecting a preferred route. URS assisted APS with preparation of the Certificate of Environmental Compatibility application and provided expert testimony before the Arizona State Siting Committee. As part of the project, URS conducted an extensive public involvement program to notify the public and local and federal officials and receive comments that were incorporated into the planning process. The 390-square-mile study area includes four different municipalities and lands managed by Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Land Management, Department of Defense, Arizona State Land Department, and Maricopa County. The development of key messages and a communications strategy was critical for this sensitive project. URS developed a multi-media project video presentation (on DVD) for distribution to interested stakeholders and use at jurisdictional briefings and public open houses. URS maintained a web-based project comment-tracking database which enabled tracking of comments and issues.
