The International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, which came into effect in 2010, defined this as a crime and created a framework to punish it.
Japan emphasizes this treaty from the standpoint of enhancing international concern about Enforced Disappearance including the abduction issue by North Korea and sends out international law scholars to one of the ten members.
It is impossible to understand itself that the comfort women issue is treated at that committee.

Including the selection of the personnel of the member of the Committee on Enforced Disappearances, the government should be once more the transmission which does not permit a lie in the heart.
