クモの糸の実地での利用に関しては、既に進化過程の超長期間に渡る膨大な試行を経ているから、ほとんど問題が無いように思える。伸縮性があって耐熱性があって引張強度が高い上に紫外線にも強い。タンパク質合成技術は今後さらに盛んになりそうだ。
