日野原重明の熱い思いにより緊急開催しました！

今般、世界的テノール歌手として名声の高いベー・チェチョルさんをお招きして、今日4月20日イースター復活節に合わせ、淀橋教会にて演奏会を開催しました。この演奏会は、当初私の勤めております聖路加病院の聖堂にて行う予定で、私が企画しておりましたが、座席数に限りがあり、多くの方にお聴きいただきたいということで淀橋教会にご協力いただくことになりました。ベーさんと私の出会いは、昨年私の102歳の誕生日を祝う会において、私の名古屋の親友である高木氏によってもたらされました。べーさんは甲状腺がんによって失われた右の声帯の発声機能を京都大学一色信彦名誉教授の見事な手術により回復されました。その歌声に大変感銘を受けた私は、一人でも多くの方にこの歌声を聴いて欲しいと感じ、今般の演奏会を企画いたしました。復活祭にふさわしいベーさんの歌声による讃美歌を中心とした美しい歌をお届けしました。

1969年大邸（テグ）に生まれる。ヨーロッパのオペラ界で「アジアのオペラ史上最高のテノール」と称され活躍していた2005年秋、甲状腺がんに襲われ、声帯および横隔膜の神経を切断。歌声とともに右側の肺の機能を失う。しかし、多くの日本人ファンの支援を受け、一色信彦京都大学名誉教授による声帯機能回復手術を受け、2008年医学の常識を超えて奇跡のカムバックを果たした。苦難を越えて響くその歌は「奇跡の歌声」と呼ばれ、聴衆の魂に届く深い感動を与え続けている。2014年秋、彼の真実のストーリーに基づき制作された映画が全国で一斉にロードショー予定。
