5 イエスは答えられた、「よくよくあなたに言っておく。だれでも、水と霊とから生れなければ、神の国にはいることはできない。
6 肉から生れる者は肉であり、霊から生れる者は霊である。
7 あなたがたは新しく生れなければならないと、わたしが言ったからとて、不思議に思うには及ばない。
8 風は思いのままに吹く。あなたはその音を聞くが、それがどこからきて、どこへ行くかは知らない。霊から生れる者もみな、それと同じである」。

5 ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, ἐὰν μή τις γεννηθῇ ἐξ ὕδατος καὶ Πνεύματος, οὐ δύναται εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ Θεοῦ. 
6 τὸ γεγεννημένον ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς σάρξ ἐστιν, καὶ τὸ γεγεννημένον ἐκ τοῦ Πνεύματος πνεῦμά ἐστιν.
7 μὴ θαυμάσῃς ὅτι εἶπόν σοι Δεῖ ὑμᾶς γεννηθῆναι ἄνωθεν. 
8 τὸ πνεῦμα ὅπου θέλει πνεῖ, καὶ τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ ἀκούεις, ἀλλ’ οὐκ οἶδας πόθεν ἔρχεται καὶ ποῦ ὑπάγει· οὕτως ἐστὶν πᾶς ὁ γεγεννημένος ἐκ τοῦ Πνεύματος.

「新世界訳聖書」

 5  Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.
6  What has been born from the flesh is flesh, and what has been born from the spirit is spirit.
7  Do not be amazed because I told you: You people must be born again.
8  The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who has been born from the spirit.” 

5 イエスは答えられた，「きわめて真実にあなたに言いますが，水と霊から生まれなければ，だれも神の王国に入ることはできないのです。
6 肉から生まれたものは肉であり，霊から生まれたものは霊です。
7 わたしがあなたに，あなた方は再び生まれなければならないと言ったからといって，驚いてはなりません。
8 風はその望む所に吹き，あなたはその音を聞いても，それがどこから来てどこへ行くのかを知りません。霊から生まれた者も皆そのようです」。
