וְאֵיבָ֣ה ׀ אָשִׁ֗ית בֵּֽינְךָ֙ וּבֵ֣ין הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה וּבֵ֥ין זַרְעֲךָ֖ וּבֵ֣ין זַרְעָ֑הּ ה֚וּא יְשׁוּפְךָ֣ רֹ֔אשׁ וְאַתָּ֖ה תְּשׁוּפֶ֥נּוּ עָקֵֽב׃ ס

 

わたしは恨みをおく、おまえと女とのあいだに、おまえのすえと女のすえとの間に。彼はおまえのかしらを砕き、おまえは彼のかかとを砕くであろう」。  
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspringa and hers;
he will crushb your head, and you will strike his heel.” 

3-16
אֶֽל־הָאִשָּׁ֣ה אָמַ֗ר הַרְבָּ֤ה אַרְבֶּה֙ עִצְּבֹונֵ֣ךְ וְהֵֽרֹנֵ֔ךְ בְּעֶ֖צֶב תֵּֽלְדִ֣י בָנִ֑ים וְאֶל־אִישֵׁךְ֙ תְּשׁ֣וּקָתֵ֔ךְ וְה֖וּא יִמְשָׁל־בָּֽךְ׃ ס

 

つぎに女に言われた、「わたしはあなたの産みの苦しみを大いに増す。あなたは苦しんで子を産む。
それでもなお、あなたは夫を慕い、彼はあなたを治めるであろう」。  
 To the woman he said,“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;with painful labor you will give birth to children.Your desire will be for your husband,and he will rule over you.” 

3-17
וּלְאָדָ֣ם אָמַ֗ר כִּֽי־שָׁמַעְתָּ֮ לְקֹ֣ול אִשְׁתֶּךָ֒ וַתֹּ֙אכַל֙ מִן־הָעֵ֔ץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר צִוִּיתִ֙יךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֥א תֹאכַ֖ל מִמֶּ֑נּוּ אֲרוּרָ֤ה הָֽאֲדָמָה֙ בַּֽעֲבוּרֶ֔ךָ בְּעִצָּבֹון֙ תֹּֽאכֲלֶ֔נָּה כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י חַיֶּֽיךָ׃

 

更に人に言われた、「あなたが妻の言葉を聞いて、食べるなと、わたしが命じた木から取って食べたので、地はあなたのためにのろわれ、あなたは一生、苦しんで地から食物を取る。  
To Adam he said,“Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you,You must not eat from it,“Cursed is the ground because of you;through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.

3-18
וְקֹ֥וץ וְדַרְדַּ֖ר תַּצְמִ֣יחַֽ לָ֑ךְ וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ אֶת־עֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃

 

地はあなたのために、いばらとあざみとを生じ、あなたは野の草を食べるであろう。  
It will produce thorns and thistles for you,and you will eat the plants of the field. 

3-19
בְּזֵעַ֤ת אַפֶּ֙יךָ֙ תֹּ֣אכַל לֶ֔חֶם עַ֤ד שֽׁוּבְךָ֙ אֶל־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה כִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה לֻקָּ֑חְתָּ כִּֽי־עָפָ֣ר אַ֔תָּה וְאֶל־עָפָ֖ר תָּשֽׁוּב׃

 

あなたは顔に汗してパンを食べ、ついに土に帰る、あなたは土から取られたのだから。あなたは、ちりだから、ちりに帰る」。  
By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” 

3-20
וַיִּקְרָ֧א הָֽאָדָ֛ם שֵׁ֥ם אִשְׁתֹּ֖ו חַוָּ֑ה כִּ֛י הִ֥וא הָֽיְתָ֖ה אֵ֥ם כָּל־חָֽי׃

 

さて、人はその妻の名をエバと名づけた。彼女がすべて生きた者の母だからである。 
Adamc named his wife Eve,d because she would become the mother of all the living.  

3-21
וַיַּעַשׂ֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֜ים לְאָדָ֧ם וּלְאִשְׁתֹּ֛ו כָּתְנֹ֥ות עֹ֖ור וַיַּלְבִּשֵֽׁם׃ פ

 主なる神は人とその妻とのために皮の着物を造って、彼らに着せられた。  
The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 

3-22
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ׀ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֗ים הֵ֤ן הָֽאָדָם֙ הָיָה֙ כְּאַחַ֣ד מִמֶּ֔נּוּ לָדַ֖עַת טֹ֣וב וָרָ֑ע וְעַתָּ֣ה ׀ פֶּן־יִשְׁלַ֣ח יָדֹ֗ו וְלָקַח֙ גַּ֚ם מֵעֵ֣ץ הַֽחַיִּ֔ים וְאָכַ֖ל וָחַ֥י לְעֹלָֽם׃

 

主なる神は言われた、「見よ、人はわれわれのひとりのようになり、善悪を知るものとなった。彼は手を伸べ、命の木からも取って食べ、永久に生きるかも知れない」。 
And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 

3-23
וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵ֛הוּ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים מִגַּן־עֵ֑דֶן לַֽעֲבֹד֙ אֶת־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֻקַּ֖ח מִשָּֽׁם׃

 

そこで主なる神は彼をエデンの園から追い出して、人が造られたその土を耕させられた。  
So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 

3-24
וַיְגָ֖רֶשׁ אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֑ם וַיַּשְׁכֵּן֩ מִקֶּ֨דֶם לְגַן־עֵ֜דֶן אֶת־הַכְּרֻבִ֗ים וְאֵ֨ת לַ֤הַט הַחֶ֙רֶב֙ הַמִּתְהַפֶּ֔כֶת לִשְׁמֹ֕ר אֶת־דֶּ֖רֶךְ עֵ֥ץ הַֽחַיִּֽים׃ ס

 

神は人を追い出し、エデンの園の東に、ケルビムと、回る炎のつるぎとを置いて、命の木の道を守らせられた。  
After he drove the man out, he placed on the east sidee of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

4-1
וְהָ֣אָדָ֔ם יָדַ֖ע אֶת־חַוָּ֣ה אִשְׁתֹּ֑ו וַתַּ֙הַר֙ וַתֵּ֣לֶד אֶת־קַ֔יִן וַתֹּ֕אמֶר קָנִ֥יתִי אִ֖ישׁ אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃

 

4:1 人はその妻エバを知った。彼女はみごもり、カインを産んで言った、「わたしは主によって、ひとりの人を得た」。  

4:1 Adama made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forthc a man.” 

4-2
וַתֹּ֣סֶף לָלֶ֔דֶת אֶת־אָחִ֖יו אֶת־הָ֑בֶל וַֽיְהִי־הֶ֙בֶל֙ רֹ֣עֵה צֹ֔אן וְקַ֕יִן הָיָ֖ה עֹבֵ֥ד אֲדָמָֽה׃

 

4:2 彼女はまた、その弟アベルを産んだ。アベルは羊を飼う者となり、カインは土を耕す者となった。 

4:2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.
