Oil protesters threw soup on Gogh

Two climate activists have been arrested for throwing tomato soup on Vincent van Gogh's painting “Sunflowers” at the National Gallery in London.

They are members of Just Stop Oil.
The group is demanding the British government halt new oil and gas projects.

They said
“Are you more concerned about the protection of a painting, or the protection of our planet and people?”

An art blog for artists and art lovers analyzed their behavior. That’s very interesting.
Their extreme activism is different from the protests in the past.
The main difference is that.....

1.  They target art.
2.  They have no knowledge of the artwork they're attempting to damage.
3.  They don’t understand the oil paintings has nothing to do with petroleum.
4.  They are ignorant that their activities engender hostility rather than sympathy.

This blogger finally says
There are better methods of protesting than through destruction.

I completely agree with him.
There are a lot of ways to protest.
Ignorance is scary.
