It took me a while to realize that it's not just about hitting a tennis ball. At 5 years old, there's no way you can know that tennis is what you want. Now it's something that I choose to do. I didn't retire for personal reasons. I have no secrets that the fact that I retired was because I was tired. I'm returning because it's the passion that I give to what I do again. It's the fact that I can push my limits, and that I can give people a dream. The relationship with the people—that's what I missed the most.

テニスボールを打つだけが全てではないと気付くのに、しばらくかかりました。だって、5歳の時に、やりたい事がテニスだと分かるはずがないでしょう？。今、私が選んだものは、テニスです☆。個人的な理由で引退したわけではなかったです。隠し事はないし、色々疲れて引退したのは事実です。またテニスへの情熱が蘇ったから、戻っているのです。限界をもっと突き詰められるし、皆さんに夢を与えられるでしょう。皆さんとのそんな関係～、それが、一番、失って寂しかったことです。

If it wasn't realistic, I probably wouldn't have started to play tennis. Probably it's ambitious. But if I thought I had no chance, I would have stayed home.

デュースは、女の子だったんですね。きっと優しい子だね。女同士、たくさんお話ししてるのかな(笑)？。この写真は、ネットサーフィン中に見つけた写真です。9/22のインタビュー後だそうです。デュースは黒くて見えにくいけど(笑)、ご主人様のお膝の上に大人しく座っています。偉いねー。デュース、エナンを頼むぞ☆。あ、ツアーにも連れていきそう？？
