メル·ラモス
メル・ラモス（Mel Ramos 1935年7月24日生まれ）は、
全身像の肖像画家。とくに、女性のヌードを多く描いた。
単純化されてはいるが、鮮明でリアルな完成度の高い
作風を確立した。
カリフォルニアのサクラメントに、ポルトガル系移民の子として生まれた。
1960年代のポップアート運動のなかで人気を得た。
ラモスは、「最高のスーパーヒーローと官能的な女性のヌード、トウモロコシの茎やチキータバナナから出てくるお菓子の包み紙から飛び出るかマティーニグラスでのんびりの彼の絵画で知られる」。 [2]彼はまた引退し、大学の芸術の教授である。

Mel Ramos (born July 24, 1935) is a U.S. figurative painter, specializing most often in paintings of female nudes, whose work incorporates elements of realist and abstract art. Born in Sacramento, California, to first generation Portuguese-Azorean immigrates family, he gained his popularity as part of the Pop Art movement of the 1960s.
Ramos is "best known for his paintings of superheroes and voluptuous female nudes emerging from cornstalks or Chiquita bananas, popping up from candy wrappers or lounging in martini glasses".[2] He is also a retired university art professor.
