Koreans who were arbitrarily punished by the Japanese government for "violation of the immigration law (activities outside the status of qualification)" after the war, which are not included in the Japan-Korea Treaty, should be rescued. For example, the Japanese government treated “Korean women” who came to Japan as “prostitutes.”
"Many" "Korean women" came to Japan, worked as "hostesses, etc.", were punished for "activities outside the scope of their status of residence", and were "deported" to South Korea. But the "employers" who hired them were not punished.
I believe that this case is more "serious" than the "comfort women issue." The media and intellectuals should raise this issue and demand "recovery of honor" and "compensation" from the Japanese government.
The Immigration Control Act is a provision that punishes people (foreigners) who work for "illegal employment" with "illegal employment crimes". And it is a provision that punishes "persons who hire foreigners who are not qualified to work" for "illegal employment promotion crimes".
