津市にある三重県総合博物館は、２０年前に中国で新種として発表されたハチが博物館の敷地内で見つかったと発表しました。博物館によりますと、国内では初めて、世界でも２匹目の発見となるということです。
三重県総合博物館によりますと、ことし９月、博物館の敷地にある林の近くで珍しいハチ１匹が見つかり、ハチの分類を専門とする九州大学農学部の三田敏治助教に調査を依頼しました。
その結果、このハチは中国 雲南省で見つかり、２０年前の１９９７年に新種として発表された「ホソクビカマバチ属」と呼ばれるハチの一種で、国内では初めて、世界でも２匹目の発見となることがわかったということです。

ハチは大きさ５ミリほどで、幼虫はカメムシに寄生して成長するということですが、詳しい生態はわかっていないということです。

三重県総合博物館の大島康宏学芸員は「まだ知られていない昆虫が身近にいることを多くの人に知ってほしい」と話しています。

このハチの標本は今月２２日から博物館で展示される予定です。
