新年一般参賀 天皇陛下「わが国と世界の人々の幸せを祈ります」

正月二日の２日、皇居で一般参賀が行われ、天皇陛下が「わが国と世界の人々の幸せを祈ります」とあいさつされました。
２日の東京は、快晴の穏やかな天気となり、皇居の正門には、開門前の時点で去年の２倍近い２万人余りが集まりました。このため予定より１５分早く午前９時１５分に門が開けられ、待っていた人たちは二重橋を通って宮殿の前に向かいました。
天皇皇后両陛下は、皇太子ご夫妻など皇族方とともに、午前中３回、宮殿のベランダに立ち、訪れた人たちに笑顔で手を振ってこたえられました。ことし１１月、結婚して皇室を離れる秋篠宮ご夫妻の長女の眞子さまも最後の一般参賀に臨まれました。
天皇陛下は、「新年おめでとう。皆さんとともに新年を祝うことをまことに喜ばしく思います。本年が少しでも多くの人にとり穏やかで心豊かな年となるよう願っています。年の初めにあたり、わが国と世界の人々の幸せを祈ります」とあいさつされました。
宮内庁によりますと、天皇陛下の来年の退位が決まってまもないことしの一般参賀には、午前１１時半までに６万２０００人余りが訪れ、平成に入って最も多かった平成６年を上回るペースだということです。天皇ご一家は、午後も１時半ごろと２時２０分ごろの２回、ベランダに立たれる予定です
