[7] 一般動詞現在形の文例
写真描写問題の基本はbe動詞の文にあります。しかし一般動詞を使った文もけっこう登場し、それも少しむずかしい動詞を使ったものが多いです。
(ひと主語のもの)
(1) The man has his hands at his side
男性は手を脇腹に当てている
(2) The child has her hand on her head.
子どもは頭に手を乗せている
(3) The woman has black pads on her knees.
女性はひざに黒い当て物をしている
(4) They have an exhibition inside.
彼らは屋内で展示会を開いている
(5) The tourist stands by oneself.
旅行者が一人で立っている
(6) She utilizes a fax machine.
彼女はファックスの機械を利用している
(7) She inserts data through a keyboard.
彼女はキーボードでデータを書き込んでいる
(8) She manipulates a computer mouse.
彼女はコンピュータのマウスを巧みに操作している
(9) He possesses a soccer ball on a playground.
彼は運動場でサッカーボールを持っている
(もの主語のもの)
(1) The van has two flat tires.
バンは二つのタイヤがパンクしている
(2) The birches have no leaves.
かんばの木には葉がない
(3) The bus has two stories.
そのバスは２階建てだ
(4) The pier has many sturdy ships.
桟橋には頑丈な船が多数係留されている
(5) The museum has many attractions.
美術館には興味深い展示品が多数ある
(6) Flowers adorn the wall engraved with words.
言葉の刻まれた壁に花が飾られている
(7) Flowering shrubbery inhabits the garden.
花の咲いている低木の植え込みが庭に存在している

階段は右側に曲がっている
(9) The stairs lead to the kitchen.
階段は台所に続いている
(10) The stairs lead up to three doors.
階段が３つのドアに続いている
