☆パリ散歩（ロダン美術館） Stroll in Paris (Rodin Museum)

“近代彫刻の父”と呼ばれるオーギュスト・ロダン。
私は訪仏の折に、色々な美術館めぐりをしておりますが、予てより是非ロダン美術館を訪ねてみたいと思っていました。

2009年6月4日の朝、私はアンヴァリッドからほど程近い場所にあるロダン美術館の前に並んでいました。開館時刻の10時よりも少々早めに訪れたのですが、既に50mほどの列ができていました。

August Rodin is a French sculptor considered as the progenitor of modern sculpture.
I like to visit the museum whenever I have the opportunity to come to France. And the Rodin Museum was among those I desired to visit some day.
On the morninmg of June 4th, 2009, I was in the cue in front of the Rodin Museum located just at the side of the Invalides. In spite of my arrival a little earlier than the opening time of 10:00, there was already a line of visitors about 50 m long.

入場して最初に目に入ったのは、前庭の台座の上に乗っている“考える人”の彫像でした。この他、ロダンの作品が広い庭園の中にあちこちに設置されており、ゆっくりと散策しながら鑑賞して周りました。

The first sight after entering the museum was the statue of "the Thinker" placed on the pedestal in the front yard. A number of Rodin's works were placed here and there in the spacious garden at the backside of the chateau and I spent time walking around and watching his various masterpices.

庭園を散策した後は、美術館の建物の中に所蔵されている作品を見学しました。その中で一番印象に残った作品は、フラーラル・ハットをかぶった若い女性のテラコッタ像でした。

After sauntering in the garden, I entered the museum building to see the works exhibided there. The most impressive work was the terracotta statue of a young lady with a floral hat.
